Wicklow needs a Hospice facility in its own right. It is not acceptable in this day and age that people have to travel 60 or more miles to have Hospice care. Neither is it acceptable for families to have unnecessary stress added to the emotional trauma that arises when a family is faced with the difficulties that terminal illness brings.

Wicklow County Campus, Clermont College
Wicklow County Campus was acquired in 2006 in collaboration with IT Carlow. Part time Lifelong Learning Higher Education programmes began in autumn 2006 in Business & Arts. The campus continues to offer a variety of Lifelong Learning Higher Educations programmes on a part – time basis in partnership with Institute of Technology, Carlow. The campus accomodates a number of County Agencies including the Wicklow Co. Enterprise Board.
